Introduction
This is a manual, a workbook, a protocol to escape from a prison planet without going into outer space or physically dying. (And it’s not entirely clear that going into space or dying would free you anyway.) You are welcome to follow it or not.
To be even clearer, this book is how you can escape the prison planet located on planet Earth. I haven’t been to other planets, so I can’t say how they operate. And rather than 180 days, the title of this book should say 180 walks. If, for one reason or another, a day goes by without a walk, no big deal, but that day doesn’t count towards the 180.
If you suspect you live on a prison planet, know you live on a prison planet, or think maybe it’s possible you live on a prison planet, your frequency is low by design. In fact, your low frequency feeds the prison planet in a very real way. The prison planet is in no way your fault, but you sure don’t have to help it. More importantly, in order to do the work of the later months, you’ve first got to get your frequency off the absolute floor.
This is a physical book, one you hold in your hand and make marks on the pages. It’s not an on-line app, program, course, or anything to do with AI. That’s intentional. Escaping the prison planet must be done off-line, so to speak, although I will invite you to do your own research, on-line, if you so choose.
If you are depressed, despairing, even suicidal, this protocol may help. I say “may.” There are no guarantees. Going through a dark night of the soul is scary, painful, and, well, dark. You are likely facing multiple ego deaths, personal darkness, and collective darkness. Having been there, done that, I know it’s not fun. I think this protocol would have helped me get through it faster and with more grace and ease. I wish you grace. I wish you ease. I vigorously recommend you have some other kind of support through this period besides this book. (Help lines, counselors, a trusted friend who can hold space for you, etc.) Plus, spend even more time walking in nature than this protocol recommends. It really will help.
You may think much of what follows is about your health, but it’s not. It’s about your spirit. Yes, much of this stuff will improve your health dramatically, but that’s not the point. There are oodles of other things you could do to boost your health that I leave out. It may seem odd to focus so much on the body (especially at first) rather than the mind or spirit in charting one’s escape from a prison planet, but you are a being who incarnated in a physical body, and body, mind, and spirit are intricately and inextricably interconnected. Yes, I know some religions/spiritual paths look askance at the physical body (the “flesh” is weakness to be conquered), but in my experience, this is a bunch of hooey. If you want to go that route, deny the body and stay entirely in your head, go ahead. See you later, maybe. This path is different.
Much of prison planet enforcement—the guards, so to speak, preventing your escape—lies in the dark, unseen structures your culture has created in the subterranean depths of your mind. Your subconscious. Little or big demons tucked away, locked in psychic cabinets or hidden under the metaphoric bed, out of conscious sight. Things that make you cringe. Things that make you uncomfortable. Things you don’t want anyone to know about. This work is not for the faint of heart, but it has great rewards. You may find this protocol restrictive, you may believe it asks you to relinquish all fun and pleasure. Let me reassure you there are great possibilities for joy and satisfaction that you’re unaware of and not even capable of accessing at this point, and let me remind you this is just for six months. At the end, you can decide which toxins, poisons, attitudes, and habits you want to add back into your life. I hope not all of them, but it’s up to you.
This protocol will not fix everything in your life. However, it should get you to the point where you can start fixing everything yourself. It will not make all your dreams come true, but it will reignite your internal sun enough to illuminate what your dreams are, give you an inkling about how to realize them, and provide you with the energy and will to get started.
I’m not going to explain the logic behind every item in the protocol. After a few months, you’ll feel the logic in your body, bones, and blood. If your mind demands it, there’s science and rationale behind much of what follows, and I invite you to research and satisfy yourself. But the fact is that while science can explain things about the body and the emotions, it can do diddly-squat when it comes to spirit. Science eschews what can’t be measured, and spirit can’t be measured, only felt. Intuited. Aligned with. Even if you don’t believe in spirit, the soul, or anything touchy-feely, this protocol will still work. Why? Because your spirit and soul do exist, whether you think so or not, and they will benefit regardless.
Why should you trust this protocol? The only good reason is if it gives structure to something deep down that is calling you, that you know is right for you. If this path doesn’t correspond with how your soul wants you to grow, doesn’t make sense to you on some spiritual, emotional or intuitive level, don’t do it. You are the ultimate authority for your life and possess the ultimate responsibility for it as well. Never give that power away.
Does it matter if you escape the prison planet? I think so. Everyone has gifts, everyone has a contribution to make, everyone matters. You matter. In addition, the prison planet draws energy from everyone it imprisons. The fewer people feeding it, the weaker its power. Possibly it can fade away altogether. It’s unfortunate that people who’ve escaped the prison planet can’t take anyone off with them. (This includes your loved ones.) But escapees can extend ladders for those left behind. Yes, people on the prison planet must see the ladder, recognize it for what it is, and choose to make the climb. Not all will. This is not your fault. It’s a sucky state of affairs all around. But staying on the prison planet to keep them company harms you and doesn’t help them. Trust that the example you set is powerful and transformative to everyone who witnesses it, even unconsciously.
This workbook is for you. No one else has to see it. In fact, it’s a good idea if no one else sees it. As you write in it, lost pieces of your soul may appear. When you’re done, if you want to burn it, go ahead. Don’t loan it out. Other people should get their own copy.
As you move through this book, it’s best to keep the process you’re going through private, at least at first. You’re planting seeds that will need protection as they sprout and root and send shoots towards the sun. You don’t need anyone else’s derision or doubt or even enthusiasm. If anyone sees you with this book and asks you about it, just say it’s interesting and you’ll let them know if it works.
You may be tempted to read the whole thing in one sitting and cherry-pick ideas. (I would be so tempted.) But this would likely be an overwhelming and indigestible experience, and some of the later months will be incomprehensible before doing the tasks of the earlier months. This work takes time. It takes reflection. It takes walks. Each set of activities must be pondered, allowed to settle, and then integrated. Escaping a prison planet doesn’t happen in a day, a week, or even a month. But it can happen in six months.
And now onto the work. You can start any day, even tomorrow. That will be month one, day 1. Read the tasks for each month at the start of the month (day 1, 31, 61, 91, etc.) and complete them as best you can. Fill out the daily checklist each evening before bed diligently. You don’t have to be perfect. There will undoubtedly be slip-ups and holes in your checklist. Except for the walks, if you want to give yourself half or a quarter credit for some items some days, that’s fine. Just keep plugging away. Make notes in this book, if you like. Highlight, argue, cross things out, write all over it. It’s yours.
Much of what we call failure should be called learning.
The past does not predict the future. But the stories you tell yourself about the past will create your future.
We are all artists. Each day of life is a great canvas on which we create.
